We have some exciting news to share with everyone!!!
Thanks to a grant from the Southwest Carver County Food Shelf, Bountiful Basket Food Shelf, and Carver County, we will be getting snacks for students in need for the whole district!!! Because of this wonderful grant, we will have over 600 snacks delivered tomorrow to get us started.
To date, we have given out over 2000 snacks to kiddos in need here at the elementary. Last year, by the end of the year, we had given out 3000. Our needs increase each year.
This program was made possible through the Southwest Carver County Food Shelf, Bountiful Basket Food Shelf, and Carver County.
We are beyond excited and grateful for this opportunity to keep the Raider Room stocked with healthy snacks.

RAIDER EVENTS: Tuesday 1/10/23
Wrestling @ Mound Westonka @ 5:00 pm

Central hosted a Wrestling invitational on January 7 and 8, 2023.
The varsity boys placed 3rd as a team.
Our wrestlers have not placed at our own home tournament for quite some time I am told. That, along with a good amount of our varsity kids individually placing in the top 5 of their brackets, makes this weekend spent in a gym one of the best in a long time.
Smiles all around and we saw a team that wrestled with the same purpose. The JV kids had plenty of individual wins as well.

Do you want to change the world?
Technovation offers females around the world the opportunity to learn the necessary skills to become tech entrepreneurs and leaders. Female and non-binary students ages 10 to 18 work in teams to identify a problem in their community and create a mobile app solution to address that problem, and then learn how to communicate these ideas and translate them into a fully launched business. It is supported by Code Savvy, a not-for-profit organization located in Minnesota, dedicated to inspiring and enabling kids, teens and adults to become code-savvy -- to understand the kind of creative thinking that goes into coding, and to try out programming computers and devices.
Central Public Schools offers the Technovation program starting in January of each year and runs through April with the regional event taking place in Minneapolis the first part of May.
