Early Childhood Family Fun Night
Central Early Childhood Programs had a perfect night to mark the start of their 2021 classes. On September 28th, they kicked off the year with a night of music, dancing and fun! The Jolly Pops Band, a Twin Cities group of “Happy Dads”, delighted Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) and Kurious Kids Preschool families with their upbeat program, which included music and entertainment for both kids and adults alike, as well as some guest appearances by their friends Bacon the Pig and Chompy the Alligator. This free family event was not only a fun way to celebrate the start of a new school year, but also a great opportunity for children, families and staff to connect outside of the regular school day. Children were able to dance and interact with the band and families had a chance to visit and enjoy the music on this gorgeous fall evening. A big thank you to Central Community Education for funding this event!
Central Public Schools Early Childhood Programs currently serve approximately 145 children and 115 families, and provide a wide variety of class options for children beginning at birth through 5 years. ECFE (ages birth-5) has both daytime and evening classes that allow parents and children to learn together, and Kurious Kids Preschool offers a wide range of class options in both Norwood-Young America and Cologne for children ages 3-5.
