We are excited to share the wonderful news of our latest initiative - a collaborative food drive with Cologne's "Bountiful Basket" and Norwood's Food Shelf! Together, we aim to make a positive impact on our local community by helping those in need.
The food drive commenced on Monday, October 23rd and will run until Friday, November 3rd. We are collecting non-perishable food items to support families and individuals in our community who may be experiencing food insecurity. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, can make a difference.
The Central High School Student Council, in partnership with "Bountiful Basket" and Norwood's Food Shelf, believes in the power of unity and giving back to our community. This food drive is an opportunity for us to come together, demonstrate our care for one another, and help those who may be going through tough times.
While all donations are appreciated, there are certain items that are in high demand. Consider contributing items such as:
- Plastic/Paper Bags
- Cereals
- Whole Grain Pastas
- Brown and White Rice
- Canned Chicken
- Salt and Pepper
- Jars of Pasta Sauce
- Salad Dressings
- Peanut Butter
- Taco Seasoning and Salsa
- Hearty Soups
- Ramen Noodles
- Hamburger Helper Varieties
- Ground Coffee
- Cracker Varieties
- Granola Bar Varieties
- Pretzels
- Body Wash
- Shampoo and Conditioner
- Body Lotion
- Kleenex
- Cleaning supplies
In addition to food items, we are also accepting monetary donations. These funds will be used to purchase additional food items to support our community.
As we approach the holiday season, let's come together as a school community to demonstrate our compassion and generosity. Share the news of our food drive with your friends, family, and colleagues. Encourage others to get involved and make a difference. Your contributions will make a real impact on the lives of those in need. We will be sharing updates on our progress throughout the food drive, so stay tuned for success stories and the positive change we can achieve together.
Thank you for your support and for being a part of this meaningful collaboration. Together, we can create a bountiful and joyful holiday season for all.
