It's hard to believe September is already here! We are so excited about the new district renovations, and the awesome opportunities this will offer our students!
Kindergarten is a year of both growth and learning. To help students have a smooth transition into the school year, the first few weeks of school are really focused on helping to build social/emotional growth. Students will connect with each other through play and participate in classroom activities that will help them build connections with one another. Additionally, we will be partnering with Mrs. Kreuser to give students a unique, hands-on experience in our new state-of-the-art STEAM lab! In the lab, students will explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math. This is a very exciting addition to our building that will allow active learning, exploration, and teamwork. We are thrilled for the kindergarteners to have this new addition to our facility to open up new learning opportunities!
Raider Room update:
The Raider Room will have a permanent location now that the remodeling is finished! The Kindergarten Team will have a space where students can shop for free winter coats and winter gear, as well as shoes, boots, and a small selection of clothes. Also new this year, we are teaming up with the Southwest County Food Shelf to provide snacks for students in need. Last year, we served over 2700 snacks, so we are grateful to e able to continue to work together. If your child could use a new backpack and supplies, please reach out to the Kindergarten Team as we have a great selection!
